Carmen - Book Design

EDITORIAL DESIGN

Carmen is a book written  by Mar Medinyà, an art  historian whose research aims  to give the fear value to  the women in art history.  In this case, she brings the  question of Carmen,  a  dramatic character in Bizet’s Opera, builded  behind the patriarcal view,  who lives in the catastrophic  destiny for being a woman.   The design references the vinyl format, to link it with the music world, the textures are hand made to give this etmosphere of an old romantic world, which makes a hard contrast with the author's analisi.
